So, I plugged my Warmoth in today and noticed some buzz coming out of the amp, but when I literally just TOUCHED the volume knob, the buzz stopped.  :tard:  I made sure the knob on the volume pot was not loose, and it wasn't.  I opened up the back to see if any wires were interfering with each other, but I don't know the first thing about electronics, so I wouldn't know if there was a problem, anyway.  I jogged a few wires around, and the sound persisted.

Anyway, I need to find a way to get rid of this annoying static, fog, hiss, or whatever you wanna call it.  Any ideas how?

For the record, what really frosts me is that I just bought a $400 Jackson Warrior, and the pots are as quiet as can be.  Go figure...  :icon_scratch:

i know little about electronics, but the way i read it was "when i wasn't touching my guitar it had a hum, when i *grounded* myself to it, it stopped."
when in doubt, check your ground leads.

I checked to make sure all the wires were soldered to the pots, and everything looks okay.  You are correct in the assessment you stated.  Whever I touch the knob with my finger, the buzzing stops...  :icon_scratch:

Maybe I"m overlooking something, I'll post some pics later.

I had a volume pot that did that as well.  After resoldering the whole guitar thinking that I had a cold joint in there somewhere, I ended up replacing the pot with a new one and the buzzing went away completely.  Just ended up being a bad pot.

You could try making a direct connection between both lugs on your output jack.  That would stop the buzz.  It would stop the guitar from outputting sound too.  I admit it's a tradeoff.  :glasses9:
