What do you think about my build? I'll be ordering (hopefully) within the next week or so:

A Carved Soloist Body with and Angled Strat Head stock

Neck: Lefty, wenge neck, brazillian rosewood fingerboard, 1 11/16
Wizard back contour, Schaller tuners mini, 6150, MOP dot Inlay
Pre-installed Graphite nut, The pegface will be solid black, 22
              frets

Body: Mahogany body w/ Flamed maple laminate top, Rear routed
(Is rear routing standard?), Contoured heel, HXH, Black Dye top
with Black back and sides, Natural binding

Hardware: Gotoh Wilk trem chrome, chrome knobs, 500k volume push
pull,  500k tone, 3 way, schaller chrome strap locks
                     Bare Knuckle uncovered nailbombs

I guess i never really thought of that. I think that would look nice when i think about it though  :hello2:

Do you guys thing that the rosewood fingerboard will look wierd?

You should call it "reverse neck" instead of "lefty"... in reverse, the nut is cutted to righty and the "lefty" is a neck for lefty handed people

Maybe an ebony board would match the black dye maple.

Oh, and if you want, creme binding on the body would look killer, I think.

is the top maple going to be clear coated or dyed a color?   i'd opt for a warmoth head myself, let people know it's custom.

Dye

And I second the Warhead! Why cover up the Wenge with a solid black peghead, btw?

It will be dyed black.

I always thought the blank headstock would give it away as being custom . . .but anyways . . .

Max about the headstock. . . I just thought the chocolate wenge would look weird with the black body.

What do you think about the overall look?
What about the natural binding and braz. fingerboard?

Thanks :rock-on:

You can get a flame maple veneer to match the body  :sign13:

Natural binding would look pretty good, I think. Are you going for plain masked or a lip-over?
Brazilian fingerboard. Hmm... There's a lot of variation in rosewood, from what I just looked at in the showcase. If you get a more chocolate-colored one, it could work, I think.

I'm no expert, though. I'm only working on my first guitar right now.
And why wouldn't you want it to look custom?
