Staining ebony fretboard

My Warmoth neck is being finished as we speak, but my concern is that the ebony fretboard is somewhat streaked, lighter in some of the upper fret positions.

My question is this; can I add some additional dark stain very carefully to the lighter areas of the fretboard to make it unformily "black" ?

If so, what do you recommend stain brands, colors.....And technique ?

To each his own I guess.  I love the streaks.  I'm hoping mine is streaky as hell.

I'm with you brother. But, Zionplayer, companies like PRS and Gibson etc, acoustic manufacturers and them all use an ebony stain to make their boards uniform.
