Here are the specs of my latest build, a Tele I affectionately refer to as "Blackstar."
• Chambered mahogany body with Spalted Maple laminate top
• Clear gloss finish on front and back
• Black body binding
• 25-1/2" scale
• One-piece unfinished Roasted Maple neck and fretboard, ’59 Roundback neck contour
• 22 stainless steel 6150 frets on a 10-16" compound radius fingerboard with no inlay (black side dots only)
• Black star vinyl decals at 12th fret and on the headstock (don't judge me)
• 1-11/16" (43mm) nut width with GraphTech Black TUSQ XL Nut
• Warmoth Pro Construction Telecaster headstock
• Sperzel locking “Trimlok” tuners
• Gotoh Standard Tele Bridge
• 3/4" (19mm) output jack with square jackplate
• Schaller straplocks
• Joe Barden Electronics Modern Tele pickup set (AWESOME pickups)
• 3-way blade selector switch
It's a tough call, but this just might be my favorite Warmoth project so far. This guitar just feels, plays, and sounds SO GOOD. This is my first experience with the '59 Roundback neck profile, and I feel like I've found my "Goldilocks" neck. I have a standard thin neck on my Warmoth Strat, a Fatback on my Warmoth LP, and now a '59 Roundback with this Tele. This one feels juuuuust right to me, and I'll probably stick with this neck profile on future builds.
Anyway, without further adieu, I present you with the main attraction: the photos!
