That's a VERY minor blemish to an otherwise gorgeous guitar.  I would totally scoop that thing up for 2 Benjamins, but I need another guitar like I need another hole in the head.

I almost bought that one when it was in the showcase. I remember the grain pattern and I'm 100% sure that's it. It was going for $630 i believe. Quite a loss they are taking for a screw up. I almost pulled the trigger on it, and when it came up sold I was relieved. Now I feel I could have saved it from this fate.  :laughing7: How well do you think a Humbucker and ring could cover those routes? would likely have to modify the corners of the routes to accept a screw to hold the rings.
I know EMG makes a humbucker set based of the 81 that are p90 shaped but. I just can't see p90s in that body style. And not being a fan of EMG's, I could see some brushed nickel covered BKP's with gold pole pieces on that body. It's a shame..

I had the exact same thought. I doubt it's going to go that easy, though. As you say, that's a beautiful and expensive part with a minor blemish. I'll bet he clears at least $450 for it. If I were him, I wouldn't be giving up on it.

If it was dual HBs I would have a hard time resisting.  Now that I've seen that cocobolo neck I just might have to get involved.  That I could certainly do with - though at a reasonable price.  Looks like the seller is in Puyallup.  Maybe an employee?  It would explain the absence of international shipping options as they would be aware of the export issues...

I want that neck, too. It'd be so pretty on my  candy tangerine Strat. Plus, the chances of my taking it out of the country are infinitesimally small, so CITES can bite me.

I foresee a last-minute bidding war among Unofficial Warmoth subscribers on that cocobolo neck.  I put it on my watch list yesterday and haven't seen a bid since then.  3 days left!

I just bought a neck from Warmoth, and I'm waiting on Fractal Audio to give me a green light on an Axe FX II, so I'm not going to bid too aggressively. I'd like to be able to eat again before July <grin>

Did anybody here get that Cocobolo neck? I need to know so I can hunt you down and kill you <grin>

Just kidding.

Thing went for surprisingly little. Winning bid was only $282 for a Cocobolo over Cocobolo neck with stainless frets. What a steal! Damned thing got by me. I would have paid more for it if I had been paying attention.

Bargain indeed  :o
Not me   would not send OS
Least cagey, you just have USA to search for them. How hard could that be

Was a great looking neck thou, hope to see it on here someday.

didn't get it either.  was being a real cheapskate on that one and was hoping to pay less than $250 what with Christmas on the way and stuff.  Still a great buy for under $300.
