So is the soloist body like a mid 80's Kramer or more like a modern Jackson or Ibanez?  Can anyone tell me which production guitar model it is closest to?  I am having a hard time telling from the pics how strat-like it is.

Need more options in that question bro' , it's more like a Jackson, since the soloist is a Jackson from the mid 80's.  The main difference is that the Jackson had a neck thru body.   If I'm wrong some of the young turks here will correct me with their usual gentleman-ness.

I am having a hard time telling from the pics how strat-like it is.
It's a decendant of the strat.  So it's very strat like, DEPENDING, on how you trick it out.
