Oh, plenty! Tons of mockups in my graphics application. I've settled on the ebony fretboard with gold frets and Supernova inlay in black pearloid. The wood and the headstock are still toss-ups, though.
Originally, I was going with maple neck and Arcade, since I was planning on painting the neck back the same satin black as the body.
But now, I'm back-tracking and considering flame maple with a lighter application of black dye instead. Not sure yet, but have plenty of time to waffle back and forth on the decision!
And for headstock, I saw a design on another guitar builder site that I really like, and doesn't look like a Jackson clone. From the design work, it looks like the only way I'd be able to replicate that is to carve down a CBS Strat, but I don't like the straight angle of the Fender headstock. The tiltback Strat was better, but with it being thinner than the CBS, I wasn't sure. But before I do that, I'm thinking of picking up a $35 neck off of eBay and practicing.
Better to ruin that than a $400 custom neck! Might need to go with the paddle and cut that down if I can do it right on the practice neck.
