... and I happened to notice this:

R.I.P Ted Weber

What???

then I get on the webervst website to see that he passed away Aug 14.  Having bought a lot of speakers from Ted over the years, I was quite sad to hear this.

Cheers Ted!  I'll miss you..  :occasion14:

RIP Ted Weber, from all your customers.  :occasion14:

Pardon moi for expressing my own thoughts, but Ted, while technically talented, was noted for some savagery with those who called his bluffs.  Some of that savagery cost folks a good deal of money, and at least one got put out of business when he said "look here Ted, you promised X and delivered less than X by a longshot... what gives?".

Well I don't know about that but I enjoyed his articles... and I have one of his attenuators.

Be glad you didn't get stuck with one of the bent frame Signature speakers, mis-sized "exact reproduction" cabinets, or "faultless" chassis with the soft white "baked on" ink and bad welds.  Every production environment has its problems.  Our hosts included.  Its how you handle them that makes all the difference.  When Ted's problems got so numerous that complaints surfaced on various forums, his legal team went into work - threatening action unless the content was pulled.  Ah well, the guys dead.  At least he didn't drive some bimbo off the Kokomo bridge.
