Slow Dancing In A Burning Room, John Mayer - Intro Guitar (Simplified)

So I found John Mayer recently and have listened to a lot of his guitar stuff. So I decided to play the first 8 or so bars of Slow Dancing In A Burning Room.

Playing the Lead stuff in this was so nice. This was my first time using the new looper I got for an actual recorded part. Makes me feel like I've improved a lot!

Take a listen.

Good playing. Nice to know what the song's name finally is (I've heard it played out a couple of times by solo acts).

John Mayer gets dumped on a lot, but I do respect his performing motto. A friend of mine took his daughter to a show and Mayer played for about 3 hours. The first hour was Mayer's pop stuff, then the last two was all of his blues jams. Mayer got on the mic and said 'the first set was for you guys [fans] and now we want to play some stuff we like too'.

Not too bad, but if you dont mind me saying it would be worth working on those bends to get the notes more accurate.

Oh and here is the original for Mr Bodhi. From the Continuum album. Well worth checking out.

Nice cover!  I also have to say this album is chock full of tasty tones and good playing.
