Single String Bass Bridge

First of all I'm totally new to the Warmoth craze (where has this site been all my life :doh, so please bear with me. I wanna build a Gecko 5 and I'm and I'm taking inspiration from all over the web. You guys surely know about the Ibanez BTB basses and their mono-rail bridges.

I WANT IT! Closest thing I could find were the ABM bridges and planning on buying them!

BUT I heard about grounding, and as I can see on the Ibanez the bridges are at a slight angle see pic can some body tell me:

Is that angle needed and if so how can i determine that;
Is the grounding needed and if so HOW preferably with pictures.

That angle isn't necessarily needed, as there's enough adjustment to intonate with the bridges even.  It's for aesthetics mainly. 

As for grounding, if you use an active pickup, you don't have to ground the bridge.  As Wyliee suggests, you can also ground one string and have a brass nut or string retainer make continuity with the rest of them.

I'm going with a EMG 40P5 at the neck and a EMG 40J at the bridge, if I'm not mistaken these are active

A word of caution.  As I recall, we looked at using the Hipshot single saddle bridges on the Gecko and the bridges were too tall to get a low action without shimming the neck or recessing the bridge.

Yup.  You won't need to ground the bridge for that.

Do you think we'll have the same issue here wyliee? I wanna all of this before I order the body, otherwise I'll have it routed for a bridge they have.

I have no idea.  Best to compare the Ibanez bridge specs against the Hipshot specs.  That would give you a reference point.
