Simple wiring scheme, difficultly grounding properly

Hi.

I have a beautiful new Strat with a freshly-Tonarized neck assembled and ready to go, save for a headache setting it up. Very simple configuration: 3 high-output single coils, a 5-way switch, one volume knob with no tone knobs. Sounds easy, right?

Somehow I still managed to wind up with a hellacious grounding problem. It quiets down slightly (but still very loud) when I touch the output jack, and to a lesser extent the strings. When I touch the tremolo springs in the back it actually gets louder. Any ideas as to the culprit before I rewire the entire deal?

No pictures of wiring just yet. I unscrewed the output jack and it looks like cold joints. Hoping a resolder there will fix the issue so I don't have to take off the pickguard and all that again. If that doesn't fix I'll update with pics.

For now, here's pics of the completed guitar:

Resoldering the output jack, making sure the + and - are right, should probably solve it for you.

+1.  If the hum gets louder when you touch grounded metal parts, your leads are reversed.

That wiring setup is fairly straightforward.  Since there's only one pot, you should have only one central ground.  It'd be a good idea to check that if you're going to heat up the iron to redo the jack anyways.
