There's a certain showcase body I'm in love with but it's routed for vintage strat flat mount and I want a trem. Is it possible to have it changed to 6 hole vintage strat trem rout or would there be unused holes showing? hope you know what I mean.
longer answer: if you didn't know it was even possible than i would guess that you don't have the skills to do this yourself. Stewmac and others have routing templates for bridges and trem cavities though, but you might be better off asking a tech to do it. Make sure the tech is the real deal and not just a guitar hack joe.
I haven't purchased the body yet, I meant is it possible for warmoth to do the rout conversion with their cnc machines before shipping. I know you can change to larger pickup routs of showcase bodies so I wondered if the bridge switch would be do-able too.
You can call/email, but I don't think it will work; if you look at bodies predrilled for Vintage Flat Mount vs. Vintage 6 hole tremelo it looks like two of the string through holes would need to be plugged? I think this has been asked before and nixed....
