Show us your rig

I posted this one before but I won't waste an opportunity to post it again.

Markbass Little Mark II
2x Aguilar GS112

I usually gig with PA support so this rig is basically a rediculously loud monitor.

I have bass G.A.S. lately and you 're not helping...
I have seen two Jaguar basses (4 & 5 strings) in the forum but no Jaguar body in the site... :icon_scratch:

call up Eric Wylie. he'll set you right. it's a production bass body (same as a jazz bass body), but they (for some reason) just haven't put the option up on the website.

Updated the board yesterday. Sorry didn't charge up the glow-in-dark labels.
I do think it is going to change soon though. I have an idea on something.  :icon_biggrin:

That's cool - how did you program the +volume and - volume switches?  some kind of modifier on the amps master or something?

Actually they are linked to the Vol Increment and Vol Decrement commands in the AXE (factory CCs of 35 and 36). What they do is reduce/increase vol by 1db or so when pressed each time. They also self-save. Very handy for equalizing volumes between various patches.
That bottom row of buttons are actually my PCs. I access their underlying IA function with the Reveal function.

Still having a bit of an issue getting the "acoustic" to work (but I think I know what I was doing wrong). Basically that IA is to be set as a PC to a specific patch, regardless of what bank I am in.

Still trying to work out something neat, but I think I am close to figuring out how to do layers on this. Not sure how many I can do, but I noticed when playing with it you can program more IAs than what there are on the board natively :). My LFP could do layers, and I really liked that.

Very groovy - so the vol inc and dec commands just change the patch that's currently active?  what volume does it change?  The master on the amp model or something else?

I'm going to be playing around with this tonight....I still have relative volume issues on my patches.

At least you have patches to have relative volume issues on. I'm beginning to think the whole Axe Fx acquisition process is a cruel joke. I've been on the waiting list for ~145 years and still no joy. They must have a terrible credit rating. A real company would be able to send off to Taiwan and get 100,000 of the bitches built in a week and a half.

It may be cruel, but it's no joke  :)

I got the volume inc/dec working last night.  Works as advertised!  I did the same thing that TBst did - hid it under the patch buttons and accessed it with reveal.  That last sentence means nothing to someone who does not have one of these beasts :icon_biggrin:

So Cagey, you know that the old ones are obsolete and you can only get the new ones right?  Maybe that's why you're still on the list - you're on the old box list!  :icon_jokercolor:

Cagey, if you ordered an AXEII, there was a supply issue on parts (a whole delivery of silk screen panels was unusable).

Sweet! glad you got it going. You can see why I use them under the reveal. Nice to have, but once done, you won't use them too much until you create a new patch.

For the -PSTBOOST - I tied that directly to output vol 1. Basically in an off state, it sends a value of like 111, on it sends a value of 127. Native state of it is off. So mash the button and instant 6db (give or take) increase. Nothing needs to be added to the patches, so you save CPU, and it works on every patch.

Maybe the shortage of Axe FX II's is beacause some order them in pairs:

FTR: It's not me and the order was for two guitarist in the same band.

very cool.  I'm gonna hook that up as well.  I'm at the point where I'm happy with the sounds I get, but I want to re-do all of my patches to have a consistent effects chain along all of them.  So that I can use those IR buttons to, say, turn on that flanger that I  need on right now just because.  :headbang:

I really love this thing.  BTW - did I mention that I've used it in about 10 gigs and the new record?

Yeah, I knew that. I'm on for the Axe Fx II and still waiting. I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't just buy one of the used Ultras so many are dumping now as they upgrade. I'm sure it would be more than I need. But, the engineer in me keeps saying "buy the latest version, you idiot!"

Besides, it's surprising what people are asking for them. Check out eBay - used units are being offered as if they're new or better. I don't know if anyone is actually getting what they're asking; I didn't check that. But, the fact that so many are asking so much sorta says they are.

Thanks, good to know. I'd hate to think somebody couldn't build electronics at will. It would say bad things about the state of the world.

I'd love to have one, they're bad-ass, but it's just not in my budget with al the other stuff I have going on.
