Short Scale G4 Singlecut Bass Progress

Here is my progress thread for my new short scale G4 singlecut Bass. I received the body and neck on Friday and the rest of my hardware arrived on Monday  :glasses9:
Forcing myself to take my time and not rush putting it together will be a challenge since I have been looking forward to receiving the parts for a couple of months.  :icon_biggrin:

Specs:

Body:  G4 short scale singlecut (Swamp Ash one piece body with clear satin finish)
Neck:  30" Warhead  (Goncalo Alves)
Fingerboard:  Pau Ferro (no inlays, Abalone side dots only)
Frets:  6105
Nut:   Black Corian 

Hardware: Chrome
    Hipshot Ultralite Clover 1/2"
    Hipshot  Vintage Bridge (Brass)
    Hipshot 3 string retainer
    Schaller strap locks
    Custom neck plate from Doug
    Ash knobs

Electronics: Passive
    Nordstrand Big Singles
    Bourns pots.  volume, volume, tone (2x linear taper & 1x audio taper)
    Barrel jack

This is my progress over the last couple off days. I reshaped the headstock a bit to my liking and filled the extra holes on the back of headstock with some DAP plastic wood filler and installed the Hipshot tuners.. I am happy with how the headstock turned out.

I made a little more progress yesterday on the Bass.
I added the copper shielding to the control cavity. Also applied a few coats of conductive shielding paint to the pickup cavities and installed the bridge, pots, knobs and input jack.
It is coming together nice and hopefully I will be finished with it this weekend. :glasses10:

I finished up the Bass over the weekend and it feels and plays really nice. And only weighs around 6.75lbs. Just waiting on my Swamp Ash back control plate that I ordered to come in now.  :icon_biggrin:
