SG with 2TEK

Yeah I had a choice of ALL Yellow Invaders. Would look good on this using a black mount rings.
But went with these as a wasn't really sure if all yellow would match in, seems these do.
Being 1/2 black / yellow looks goooooooooooood  :toothy10: ... even as wood mounted  :icon_thumright:
Keep'em Tipperman and build a Black beast with them.

Well where the bloody hell is the link then

OK .. just back to pablo's thought's
I have some pic's to explain why I won't go that way, and which I think is best here on a SG body.
Also a Strat control cavity, would be a bit closer to the 2Tek rout and would be easy to go from that to the 2Tek cavity side wall.

Pic 1
Farther to drill.
Main reason is the earth wire hole would end up at the back of the 2Tek rout.
Would be able to see the wire and some copper shielding, from the gap in the bottom of the 2Tek bridge.
So probably wouldn't look as neat.

Pic 2
Going from the back and bottom of bridge hum rout (much more / safer / room with a drill)
at an angle down, would end up inside the hidden area of 2Tek rout, about 1/2'' - 3/4''  from the bottom ….. Perfect.
Wire runs from 2Tek rout into hum rout and into control cavity. All hidden !!
Would when just use some copper shielding overlapped and into the 2Tek rout.
Is plenty of room to solder anything in there.

The 2Tek cavity wall closest to the bridge humbucker hides any wires etc.

How's that sound ?  :icon_biggrin:

I'll open a build thread when the neck comes in.

I can't do a black guitar with yellow humbooglers. Think I'll sell em for $20. Too ugly looking, and I hate bees.

I'm yellow with envy!  :icon_biggrin:

Nice touch with those yellow "zebra" pickups.

Looking forward to hear more about the 2Tek - I need to feed my GAS some more before I pull the trigger on a 2Tek project  :laughing7:
