What on earth job could a 12 year old find that paid 10 an hour?  I started working when I was 12 too, but the standard rate for paying a 12 year old under the table was 5 from what I could tell (that's every cleaning, babysitting, and data entry gig I had until I was 16 and they started paying me more).
