As usual, discussion about the submissions can take place below.

Please do not post additional photos in any replies to this thread.  Links to other UW threads or external sites are fine. Links will not be included in the entry descriptions.

Rgand gets things rolling! Good luck everybody else!

Just kidding, get your entries in!

It wouldn't have happened without that spectacular piece of mahogany you had, Ian. Thanks for letting me know about it.

For those interested, here's the build thread.

Looking forward to more entries. I've seen some spectacular builds recently.

Nice!  I don't believe we've ever had a swirled entrant.  This is some variety I can support!

We have got some serious swirl going this month.  Looks like a great start to another great month!  Best of luck to all!

I could not possibly build a guitar for my grandson without showing it off to the forum!

My first attempt at dyeing and finishing with something other than Tru-Oil.

I almost hung it up at one point, but it all turned out OK.  Lots of fun, in retrospect!

More pics and info on the build if you are interested...

Thanks!

That swirl is awesome but something's been bugging me I coudln't put my finger on. It think it needs a mirror pickguard! It's like the only guitar I've ever seen that needed one.
