On my Warmoth Tele with a mahogany neck and pau ferro fingerboard, one thing I am noticing after a couple months is it is extremely sensitive to temperature changes and needs to be tuned pretty much every time I pick it up. Once tuned, it is fairly stable for the entire session, except the G string which is a bit finicky; I think that is binding in the nut that will work its way out over time.

By comparison, my Strat with a Fender manufacture maple/rosewood neck is a lot less sensitive to temperature changes and doesn’t exhibit the tuning stability properties of the Warmoth mahogany neck.

I wanted to see if anybody else has noticed this, if it affects certain types of woods more than others and if it has any likelihood of changing over time (that is, more or less stable with regard to temperature).

What is the construction of said neck? (total vintage/modern vintage/pro)
Who put the finish on it (and just because I'm curious, what type of finish?)

I've a Mahogany/Ebony Pro neck with a gloss finish and it doesn't budge out of tune unless I exercise the bridge a fair bit.

My Wenge/Ebony Neck has it's stainless steel frets stick out a little on the sides in the winter, but not in the summer!

that is the only thing I ever noticed.. no tuning problems.

I'll have to look for that on my Wenge/Bloodwood neck (which also is doing well, but I haven't owned it for a full seasonal change yet)
