Having spent several weeks in Florida this past winter, I may have come home with a bit of GATOR on the brain-there are lots of 'em in the marsh behind the house...this soloist just kind of evolved as I went along(into what, I don't know) and part of a gator slipped in there, by gum...the dotted, serpentine areas could be interpreted as swampy canals...anyway, here y'go--

Well, Photo*uckit seems to be up to its old 'one-photo-at-a-time-only tricks again...I'll see what I can do...

Solid basswood body...neck is roasted maple w/bound ebony fngrbrd, '59 roundback, 6150's, Gotoh sealed tuners...pickups & more pics to come...

I can't tell you how happy I am to see another offering from your magic palace. I was starting to worry that you'd given up on the idea, or had enough of it, or whatever. That's a fantastic piece!

Very cool indeed...glad you didn't get eaten by gators...

But how do you get "Blue Monkey" from Alligator green... :dontknow:

Same way this guy winds up being Blue Raja, perhaps?

Always pickin' stuff apart, ain't ya--well, the answer is that my email address is 'bluemonkey48', and I've been thinking for a while that I should be using some sort of ID for my guitars--so now I am...
Got it? GOOD!  :icon_biggrin:

Beautiful work there, brother. I put away a lot of Brass Monkey in my day, but that Blue Monkey looks WAY better. (Probably feel a lot better in the morning too!)

Steve drinks brass monkey's, Greg is a blue monkey, in Dallas we have Gas Monkey's...

What is this a Dr. Suess rhyme, one fish, two fish, red fish, blue monkey48... :tard:

I realize i managed to work in a wise-ass rejoinder to someone along the way but neglected to actually compliment your amazing work, Greg.  Permit me to remedy that omission by suggesting this is near the top of the list of my favorite works I've seen on this board.  Great stuff.  Thank you for continuing to share your artistic achievements with us.

I thank you, and am humbled by your comments...

Pffft my kid could do that with crayons... Get crackin' boy, we gotta pay for your college somehow or other.

Seriously, really nice work, as usual.
