I just got it and love it. Also, just accidentally chipped the paint on the body.🤮

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Beautiful axe!

Sorry about the ding.  The first chip in a new guitar hurts the most, but after that, it's safe to take anywhere since you already know it's not gonna come home perfect.  If that's a Warmoth finish, you maybe could do a touch-up and drop fill with cyanoacrylate ("super") glue, but mostly that poly Warmoth uses is hard to repair because it's so tough to begin with (your own experience with a chip notwithstanding).

How does it sound?  What pickups did you load it with?

Thanks for your quick reply! It sounds phenomenal... well, as phenomenal as it can sound with me playing it, anyway.😅

I loaded it with DiMarzio Model P+J for Fender Precision+ Jazz Bass PICKUP SET. Also, set it up with a Hipshot Kickass High Mass Bass BRIDGE for Badass Bass Guitar In Chrome.

I have to say, it came out great.

It's a beautiful bass. Seafoam green is such a classic look. Nicely done. Congrats.

Yeah, bum deal on that. At least the first ding is now behind you. If it's noticeable, perhaps you can find some nail polish that is close enough in coilor to mask it. You could even mix two colors to get the right shade. A little clear over that will help, too.

Good suggestion, thank you. I actually found a place that sells a touch up pen in Fender Seafoam. Gonna give that a shot, I think.

Can you show a Pic of the chip?  A little word of warning. Sometimes the fix is worse. Then you keep working it to make it better, and you make it worse yet.

That's true, especially with polyurethane. The fix can end up more obvious than the defect.

Nice bass, looks very "together". And like Rgand said:

Don't feel too bad about the chip, my first build was chipped before I even had it all together. Sucks, yeah, but now it's just part of my baby's personality!  :icon_biggrin:

Definitely worth considering, thank you. The coverup is often more damaging than the crime!😬

Thanks very much! I actually just got home from the recording studio—first time with the new beast and the recording came out sounding fantastic.

I really appreciate the helpful advice from you guys. This is a great forum! :bass:

Don't worry about the chip, people pay extra for that kind of service :laughing7:

Looks awesome though, really hard to wrap my head around it however, it being a lefty. :binkybaby:

There's your answer, Brother: It's not a chip, it's EXTRA MOJO!
