Hey beer drinkers (you know who you are),

I posted previously about a Scottish beer called Innis & Gunn that is matured in scotch whisky barrels.  It's amazing stuff:

Turns out that they brewed a beer just for Canada day 2009.  The kicker is that they used Canadian Rye Whiskey barrels instead of the usual scotch barrels.  I'm drinking some right now.  It's freaking fantastic.  Here's some notes from the box:

Canadian whisky barrels are packed with delicious flavours, locked deep inside the oak grain.  To make this special Innis & Gunn Exclusively for our friends in Canada, and to celebrate Canada Day 2009, we selected and imported to Scotland the very best of these rare barrels. Then over many weeks of maturation our specially brewed beer slowly unlocked the flavours from deep inside the oak, the beer growing in character with every hour that passed.  We think the result is absolutely delicious and we hope you enjoy this beer as much as we do.

Hoo-Rah! :headbang:

Kind of like a 1st class boilermaker? I'd hit it, and with gusto!

Everybody, post something hilarious. Mayfly's keyboard must be ruined!

Sorry Max, I've finished the pint.

The keyboard (a MaxBook Pro) remains unblemished.

Fat chance of getting any of that in Australia but I'll keep an eye out  :glasses9:

So, I showed up at the local booze retailer to get some more of this beer...

...  and they're out!  That's it for this beer - it's all been drumk
