Schaller tuners not fitting in the Schaller spec holes as ordered

So I'm in the middle of a build, ordered a neck spec'd for the Schaller M6 tuners, confirmed this on the documentation that came with the neck. Warmoth must be using a worn-out drill bit because the holes are so tight that the tuners squeak in the wood if I try to force them in.

I guess I need to ream out the holes a tiny bit, is there a good quality reamer or other tool recommended for opening up the holes a tad?

Finished neck? The tolerances doesn't allow for finishes, it's typical to sand off the finish in the hole with sandpaper wrapped around a dowel (screwdriver shaft or pen shaft or whatever you have)

The Schallers are usually "press-fit, not "drop in". For an ideal fit, you shouldn't be able to push them in with your fingers, but install using a press or a clamp. And the top nut is often required to pull it the last bit. But, "squeak" would be a red flag for me as well.

A reamer is a useful tool for this but they can be a bit expensive or not always locally available. A simple tool is to take something like a pencil wrapped with some sandpaper that can rotate in the hole to make the adjustment needed.

So I just took a tiny bit of D'Addario Friction Remover normally used in nut slots, and placed it in each hole, then twisted each tuner into the hole with my fingers and then pulled them the rest of the way in with the nut, finished up by drilling the holes for the screws and viola, done.
