Schaller Lockmeister - does it work with Warmoth Schaller rout?

Just wondering if the Lockmeister fits with the Warmoth Schaller rout?
The Schaller bridge Warmoth has in stock is a different bridge...

And in Sweden a Lockmeister is cheaper than a OFR.

I usually prefer a Gotoh Floyd rose over OFR but since Warmoth doesn't offer a Gotoh Floyd rout I might go with a Schaller instead... But I'm still just speculating.

Need too know some info

It won't fit the Scaller rout

The Lockmeister has the same dimensions as the OFR, so that would be the rout to go for.

The only difference is the length of the fine tuners if I remember correctly.

The Schallers own homepage shows the old Schaller bridge instead of Lockmeister, under the Lockmeister page  :doh:

That's a different drawing to the Schaller Tremolo, quite a few differences.

Schaller says the bridge has 74.3mm string spacing, which wouldn't work with Warmoths 73.99 stud spacing, on Schaller...  :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

You would think the manufacturer of a replacement part might more assiduously try to keep their stuff dimensionally consistent so their wares could displace the incumbent.  But then, maybe Schaller's selling primarily to manufacturers and not after-market folks.  That might explain some of the distribution issues - folks like us don't figure prominently in their plans, so they don't work hard on serving us.


Anyhow - Floyds and their progeny?  Meh.

I think I've said this before somewhere else, I really wonder if some of the dimension anomalies of what are essentially the same thing are due to metric to imperial conversion and back again. Or rounding up or down also.

Only away to know 100% get a Lockmeister and see if it will retrofit an OFR.
