Schaller doesn't fit OFR route??

I thought Schaller trems fit the OFR route. Please see the picture and notice that it doesn't fit. Am I doing something wrong? I just removed the old trem (a Gotoh) and dropped in the Schaller and it doesn't fit

I personally prefer the Gotoh, but the one this guitar is being built for wants the Schaller. Thanks!

You don't say what the body is but it seems possible the Gotoh is the one thats not compatible with the OFR footprint, and the body you removed it from had been routed with the (non-compatible) Gotoh in mind.


Just a though, and not supported by any empirical evidence - but try measuring the plate on the Gotoh you removed, and compare to the Schaller dimensions.

Judging from those pics the Schaller branded bridge has a little more meat on the tail end of the main plate.
Gotoh is slightly different from both OFR & Schallers design.
