Scalloped neck / wizard profile / wise or stupid?

Hi people
I am thinking of having a scalloped neck (maple / rosewood) on wizard profile. I will be using 0.11 strings / normal tuning. Any chance for survival of the neck (not a typo :) )?

From the Warmoth site:

Also, we can not scallop necks with the Wizard back contour.

I personally think the Warmoth scallops are pretty (mebbe too) deep - I have it on my #1 (and love it, and wish everything was scalloped), but they're deeper than the Blackmore style for example. I wouldn't even trust scallops that deep on a standard thin, though they'll DO them... I'd love to have a lightly-scalloped seven-string, but I can't find a neck thick enough to feel comfortable about - certainly not my Ibanez RG 7 with the Wizard profile. :sad1:

They're actually not that deep in comparison to an Ibanez Jem, if you hold them up next to each other, I think you'll find the Warmoth scallop to be slightly more shallow.  This is one of the reasons that using large fretwire such as SS6115 or 6100 or SS6100 is helpful, less need to remove more wood.
