scale length after adding longer neck

hey folks,

my strat originally came with a 21-fret, 25.5 scale length neck.

i added a warmoth 22-fret neck, and a wilkinson bridge.

question1, is does the scale length stay the same with a 22-fret versus 21-fret neck?


question2, what would be the ideal length from inside nut to face of bridge saddles?

here are the lengths i currently have from inside nut to face of each bridge saddle:

hi E  = 64.6mm
B      = 64.8mm
G      = 64.85mm
D      = 64.55mm
A      = 64.78mm
Lo E = 64.9mm

Why would the scale length change? All you're doing is adding a fret on the end of the fretboard. That's why the 22 fret necks have the overhang.

Correct, scale length is the same.  Rather than obsess about the lengths, let your ears tell you the lengths when you intonate it. The actual measurements should be starting off points.
