Whats a subnet? What's e-mail harvesting? & it thinks i am a robot. Man have i got a lot to catch up. If i didn't hang out here i wouldn't be able to post a pic.

A subnet is part of your IP address and an IP address is something like 192.168.12.201.  A server will have a series of numbers in a subnet.  Blocking out those numbers prevents that server (and anyone on it) from accessing the site.  Places like Russia, Korea, etc... are full of spam servers.  It's a game of hide and seek though.  It is easy enough for a spammer to move to a new address and then the game starts all over.

UnofficialWarmoth participates with several different services that maintain massive white and black lists of servers to try and block the spammers.  That's where the questions come in.  It isn't always apparent that a new address coming in is or is not good.  Sorry to those that have been impacted, but it has been a necessary step.

Email harvesting is when a bot crawls a site and gathers all the email addresses in posts/signature blocks/etc....  I would want my email address used for spam and I'm sure you don't either so I try to prevent that.
