I have some new favs on it now , DiMarzio Area DP 250 , vintage , warm Alnico II has a really cool kinda chewy bottom and Fender Pure Nickel strings , love'em warm , clear and sweet highs . This bass sounds amazing now .

Wow. That's really nice! Makes me want to take up bass!

Thanks man ! The P bass is just so perfect and a joy to play , especially with a J neck  :laughing7: Warmoth P's are dead nuts on too .  :glasses9:

-Love the neck-plate! That powdery blue finish is already suggesting Hindu deity... the image on the neck-plate connects the dots in a tastefully subtle way!  :icon_thumright:

-Jai Guru Deva!

If this was posted in the finished projects gallery, I'd bug ya to tell us about the whole thing...

-I guess I will ask about the neck, though; what fret wire size and back contour do ya got goin' on there? Is it a W neck? -Got a project of my own cookin' and not sure what to do for a neck just yet.

Sorry to get off topic; after this we can go back to talking finish techniques.  :laughing7:

Some guitars you wanna take to a jam and show off, others you want to keep all to yourself
and take 'em to bed! It looks...

:hello2: EDIBLE... :hello2:

is there such a thing as pastel blue... ice cream?!?  :toothy12:

Could you go into detail a little bit on the de-glossing process please? I'm really interested in that.

0000 steel wool buffed it right off before my eyes . It was pretty simple but required some elbow grease . I removed all hardware first as the steel wool is messy .
