I've shown this body and neck off in another post but I just received the neck back from Tonar and it is spectacular!  (Thanks Greg!)

It has a hand rubbed oil finish on the back and a lacquered head - the wood is curly maple with wenge stripes and an ebony finger board.

It even came wrapped in a Tonar micrfiber cloth in a stunning orange hue!

I was originally going to use chrome Grovers but decided today to go with Roto-Grips from Stew Mac for ease of restringing so it may be a few days before I do more updates.

I bought gold roto-grip lockers for my VIP build.  I've always been a fan of grover tuners, and decided to give them a shot.  I got them in the mail today, and they look great.  Ordered them from www.tubesandmore.com  they were accouple bucks more than StewieMac, but I also wanted to order a reverb pedal kit for my little tube amp project, so it made sense with the free shipping to get it all from Antique Electronis/Tubes and More.  Got a free t-shirt too.  LOL.  I've ordered twice from them now, and had good luck both times.  Just another suggestion for parts...

Here are some update pics - the machines are installed - locking Grovers.  Body cavity is shielded, pickup cavities shielded and Gotoh bridge installed.  Simple mockup of P-Rails, chrome rings and black speed dials...
