I have a Warmoth VW with the narrow strat fixed bridge. It has the vintage style bent metal saddles.

I would like to replace these with solid saddles.  Does anyone know who makes a direct replacement solid saddle for those?  I believe they are slightly narrow than the standard fixed bridge saddles.

If you're replacing the saddles, get these

Callaham Vintage Styled Strat "CG" Saddles for 2 1/16 Spaced Bridge
http://www.callahamguitars.com/partsstr.htm

They're the same look as the ones you have, but far superior to the stock or the solid ones.

Why?  I bought the unit off the net and bought another replacement neck for it (my specs). I do not know if there was a miss-communication on the part of the original purchaser or it is simply a design issue. Neither neck (warmoth) worked well here.  The neck  sits about 1/16" too high for that bridge on that body. I bought new, longer screws, but the added length makes for too much torque on the saddle screw and they twist as one plays.  The solid steel saddles allow for more contact along the saddle body and can handle the torque.  I like Cal's parts.  I have the full get up for the trem in one of my strats and a couple other parts on other guitars from them.  But the style is likely to pose the same issue here. No one has any ideas on solid saddles?

Something like this should work

Narrow Fender spacing is 2-1/16" so it should fit on your 2-1/8".

Thanks!  I was hoping for stainless, or perhaps a graph tech type.  What are the specs I would need to meet to get them to work?

Oh sorry, I didn't know Graphtech was an option.

There's only 2 main specs.  Import or Narrow (2-1/16") and Amercian Standard (2-3/16").  The wider ones obviously wont line up, but the "import" set should work fine.

Ah... I was going to not recommend the block saddles because of the pingy treble tone they give off, but
if you're having actual mechanical issues, then...

The narrow Graph Tech saddles seem to work here better than the stock ones.  Sound good to me.

What's the tonal difference between bent and standard saddles?

Sorry, missed it.  More articulate with greater sustain.  The articulate could be seen as plinky I suppose as it does brighten things slightly, but it is not harsh to me.
