I just finished my new tele and am absolutely blown away by these pickups Aaron at Rumpelstiltskin Pickups (http://www.rumpelstiltskinpickups.com/) made for me. I got the black rope hot neck and the 1950 Black Rope bridge and they sound sick. The guitar is swamp ash with maple/PF neck and is a little bright, but despite that the bridge pickup is not even the slightest bit harsh. It absolutely screams. The neck is equally nice and really balances well with the bridge.
Dealing with Aaron was amazing. He walked me through the process after I told him the tone I was going for and in >25 emails he helped me tailor the set to my needs. His turn around time was about a week too! Its rare in this day and age to get the kind of service he provides and it just makes an already great product even more pleasurable to deal with.
Anyway, I just wanted to throw that out there for those of you looking for PUPS. I will be posting updated pics of my build in my "The Booger" thread in the work in progress section. Can't believe its finally done!
