Roger Sadowsky on chambering etc ..

Nothing new that I see. Figgered western maple.... NewYawkahs.... I wonder what he would've done if everybody had told him that the chambered bodies sound worse? Whew, dodged a bullet there... I am still convinced that screws are an important part of attaching the neck, especially considering how many of the "great' old "classic" guitars not only had neck pockets you could stck a quarter into, but the old "great" basses were ALL shimmed about four years in, until the necks were all too warped to use.

What would be a REAL FUN conversation would be with Sadowsky or Phil Kubicki or any of the other guys who's careers as Fender copyists all took off in the 1980's, when the last authentic skinny little 1960's Fender Jazz bass neck bit the dirt - conversing with George Gruhn or any of the other Vintage Guitar scammers, who now that grandma finally drug the very last mint 1964 Stratocaster out from under grandpa's bed, just remembered that Cousin Zeke had minty 1959 Jazz basses under every bed in the house! And he ran a boarding home... THAT would be a conversation worth hearing. :evil4:
