Ernie Ball now offers roasted necks on some of their signature models. There are a few other guitar companies offering this option as well. Stunning results on curly or quilted maple!! The process darkens the wood and really brings out the figure. Additional claims are that it affects the sustain, strengthens the neck and makes the neck not as susceptible to climate changes such as humidity, but regardless of all that...the real beauty is in the visual!

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip.
