Roasted Maple Maintenance?

So I've still yet to own a roasted maple neck/fretboard, but my upcoming build will have one.
I plan on burnishing the back of the neck, as suggested forever by everyone, haha.
My only question is with the fretboard, or even the back of the neck, when it becomes gunky and I need to clean it, will I need to apply some sort of oil?
I would be using naphtha to clean it most likely. I've seen somewhere that lemon oil is bad for maple, but what about roasted maple?

Any insight would be much appreciated.
Cheers!  :blob7:

Once Maple is torrified it's no longer hygroscopic, so it won't really absorb oils or anything. That's one of the reasons it's so stable. So, naptha for cleaning is a Good Thing.

Awesome, thanks Cagey!
