May not be a popular opinion, but I feel I have to say something here. First off I know RLW has been here a lot longer than I have and by web law means he's probably got more right to be here than me. Second, I'm going on the assumption that he's left because of the posts he's made, if I'm wrong about that I apologise in advance.

RLW made two very unpleasant post directed at two new members without any provocation, he was called out on it and now he seems to have closed his account rather than taking it like a man and saying sorry. If that is the case then I for one am not going to be missing him too much. Again if I'm reading this wrong I apologise, but people don't tend to close accounts because they get ill or have other problems, they close accounts because they don't want to take part. And not wanting to take part because a female has arrived seems to me to be pretty lame.
 
He said he was leaving once before, when that confederate wookie crap-face was around trolling everything and everyone, but he came right back when that guy was booted outta here.  I seriously doubt that it was just because there was a female around.  He really seemed to hate when there were spammers about or when the level of infantile flamethrowing was on the rise.  I don't recall either of these happening lately, but, hey, who am I to judge.  I just liked the guy, grumpiness and all, and hope that everything is OK with him. 
 
Could be me, but those two posts didn't even read like him.  Something sounded very different about them to me outside of the obvious.  Here's hoping he was just having a bad day and there's not something more serious going on.
 
I was a bit worried about him during that touch 'n go thing with the storm down there, but this time I'm really scared... Deleting his account sounds bad...
 
Maybe he decided to play music for a while instead of dicking around sitting in front of a computer screen! Ooops... :toothy11:

I caught one of his outbursts and called him on it (lying about that one dude's banner - claimed it contained a virus).

Alright, here's how it is - this is an internet forum, and as such, you're gonna bump into people that might not agree with, or see stuff that you don't wanna see.

That's a given.

But, none of us have any control over what's being posted or whomever is posting ('cept the mods).

As soon as ya learn and accept that fact, then it's no big deal.  Doesn't matter how friggin' long you've been here - unless you pay for the site, or are a mod, you have zero control.

Don't put all your damn eggs into an internet forum... all it is is people yakkin'.

And yeah, stub's is right:  maybe if more people decided to play music (or something else constructive) instead of dicking around all day and all night sitting in front of a computer typing away, people wouldn't up and leave, or have control issues.  When your life consists of trying to control what's being said on an internet forum, then it's time to get a new life.

I got an email from Rich.  He's doing okay and he wanted me to relay that he apologizes for, in his words, being an a*****e.  He just needs a break from the boards for a while.

Also, he wanted me to direct you to the source of the "no women, no kids" quote.  It wasn't from him and he wanted it clarified a bit.  It's one of the quotes listed on this page.

Glad to hear he is OK....his last couple of posts really threw  me for a loop and just were really out of character for him (I thought anyway) He is one of my favorite contributers and the broard is a better place with him so I await his return. I am sure he will be back Warmoth is a sickness for which there is no cure.

Maybe he got banned.  They crack down on unpleasantness pretty quick.  It's OK... we'll be waiting when you come back, Rich!  :)

Yeah,The Profesional, that's a great movie.  One of my all time favorites .  I love the scene where Natalie shoots the mayor with a painball gun from accross central park.  Classic.

For RLW, I recomend some calming chamomile tea, my 12 year old stepdaughter is always recomending that I have some after I come home from work, all wound up with hatred for my co-workers (as far as I know, she's currently not being trained by a hit man, but she is in advanced Karate and can already kill me with one hand tied behind her back.....) .

I just searched some of these posts he's freaked out in.  Whoa!  Calm down there, fella!   None of it appears to have anything to do with guitars, hit men, or the 12 year old girls that hire them.

I think he drank from the drambuie, as addressed in another post, and let that do his typing, and was so embarassed by his post that he left,

no biggie, been there done that, that's the bad thing about forums, so easy to write down what seems to make sense at the time, either in jest or because a drunken moment of clarity seems right.

Either way, a few days off and a quick appology to the person you offended SHOULD smooth things over, especially with his track record.
