Would appreciate any and all comments and feedback, I know that there are other Pickup threads but wanted to see what you guys have to say about Righteous Sound vs other cookie cutter or hand wound custom pickups.  In all I have used and reviewed all of the pickups below but have came back to Righteous Sound.  Reason being is that if I'm looking for a grittier, warmer, or brighter pickup then all I have to do is email and they deliver exactly what I am looking for.  As of now I have them in 6 guitars: Les Paul, 3 Strats 2 Tele's and love them.  Please give a pickup name and reason why you like them.  I guess I'm a nerd and am always looking for different options,  Thanks!  Hoss  :yourock:

I like most of the clips I have seen. I would have probably ordered if they were open about the specs of each pickup and if the price was lower. I believe we are lucky because nowdays there are many companies who make good pickups although 99% of them are stuck in the past because 99% of guitarists are stuck in the past! In any case, the recreations of old pickups are better than most of the old pickups.

I haven't used many pickups, when something is good I leave it as it is. I'm impressed from the WCR Goodwoods, the TV Jones Classic Plus and the Budz Purebreds I used in my Warmoth guitars. I wouldn't change any of them. If I was building another tele I would use the TVJ tele set he released last year. I have used one DiMarzio and it wasn't for me. Three Duncans that I like more more than the DiMarzio but I wouldn't put in the same level as the ones I mentioned above.

I have two guitars I want to change the pickups and I will probably try Bare Knuckle and Rewind pickups. Price is important for me and these two will cost lower than Righteous Sound.

I've used most of those and many others. To tell the truth, I haven't head a bad pickup in a number of years, or even one I wouldn't use again. The state of the art and understanding of how the things work and how to get a particular character/tone/performance, as well as the quality of the parts themselves has never been better, regardless of cost. We truly have an embarassment of riches available to us now; choice has become purely subjective and all that remains is to pick the flavor you want and enjoy.

I agree. Many and varied great parts, and a lotta bang for the buck. Recommend them to anyone.
