He was a noted luthier, part of the S.F Bay Area music scene back in the day.  One of the early woodworkers at Alembic, he essentially invented the neck-thru “hippie sandwich” guitar/bass.  He was very innovative, going on from Alembic to design and produce his “Model One” which became famous when played by Lindsey Buckingham.
