Hi folks, I used to be a contributor here but have mainly been a stalker lately. I have 5 Warmoths now!

I took my Zebracaster that was built in 2011 and ordered a new mahogany neck to replace the birdseye maple that was on it before. I wanted an all mahogany humbucker type sound. I also replaced the SD pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge position with a Gibson 57 Classic. Both humbuckers in that guitar can be coil split. Warmoth told me there was a "secret stash" of zebrawood fretboards so the mahagony neck with binding was born!

I took the maple/zebrawood neck and thought, damn you need a body. I scored an unfinished 7/8's Ash Strat body and put it on. I wanted a tangerine dream guitar so viola! Lollar alnico p-90s will make the nice crisp sound I was looking for.

Here they are! I am beyond excited!

Welcome back PT. Good to see that gorgeous Zebra Strat is still going strong.

Thanks Mike! The Zebracaster is still going and just took an overhaul so will be interesting to see if it does what I think it will. I'll try to lay down a video comparing the 2.

Ha, good move. Once you swap a neck it has to go somewhere  :)

Nice to see you back.

Agree, asymmetry bugs me. :o

Lovely guitars. I too love that orange color. Super nice!

It's actually a Sherwin Williams color. The luthier who did it loved it and will use it on another guitar.

Those are both sharp! Nice choices well done.

Thanks Cagey, They will occupy coveted spots on the Warmoth Wall.

btw although the color is Tangerine, the cell phone photo makes it look more like cream of tomato soup......I must be hungry.

I used to use a camera that when taking outdoor shots, made the trees and grass look incredibly green. I mean, golf courses would be envious. Other things didn't seem to be affected.

All colors taken in that specific room with that cellphone tend to be off. Maybe the fluorescent lights?

BTW is Fernando still around? He used to be a prolific poster (as opposed to me, an imposter).

Darn nice pair, there. Thanks for the pics. I do like the CoT red even if it's supposed to be tangerine. :icon_biggrin: Both are fine guitars.

Wo, that pic stopped me in my tracks. Wanted to reach right into that photo and play them both! Well done.  :hello2:
