Replacement neck suggestion for Jazzmaster

Hello! New fella here, looking to replace the maple/rosewood neck on my alder jazzmaster with a nice, raw indian rosewood neck. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the pros/cons of going solid rosewood vs. pairing it up with an ebony fretboard. I've also heard that wenge is a pretty good match for alder bodies. Thoughts?

The ebony board is harder than rosewood and will be a little brighter than solid rosewood. It also has a slightly different feel.

No thoughts in particular on your other question as I'm not familiar with wenge.

Thank you. I'll probably go the rosewood route, since it's $60 cheaper and I was looking to go darker/punchier.
