I'm currently bidding on a guitar on ebay that has a major chip in the finish on the back of the neck, as well as a big scratch down the back of the body. I've pictured them in attachments.
I kinda regret bidding before doing any research, but I figured that it can't be that hard to repair the crack in the neck finish. The scratch on the back is kinda irrelevant; I could probably buff it so it's less noticeable and be happy.
What would you guys recommend for taking care of the back of the neck? I know that worst case scenario, I can sand down the finish on the whole back of the neck and redo it somehow. It wouldn't be pretty but the guitar's a steal.
Thanks for any tips
