I'm really impressed. That's a gorgeous body. Almost makes me want an LP-type. Almost.

So... is that one you bought (or are planning to), or are you just pointing out their presence in the Showcase?

I went and looked... this black/yellow burst is kinda tempting...

woah - that is nice.

Actually I kinda like the thought that it's a different shape than a Les Paul.  Makes it easier to imagine putting a completely different headstock on it.

and maybe a bender.  :icon_jokercolor:

or a floyd...  :o

It seems Warmoth isn't the only one who's felt the lash of Gibson's whip...

Not a huge difference, but the lower horn and headstock profile has been changed. Kinda surprising. I would have expected the Koreans to say "Bite me. Strong letter to follow."

Those Agile guitars aren't bad, I got a Shine WT440 from amazon a while back, love this thing even though it weighs 7,000 pounds

I know I've been impressed by them. At least, the higher-end units. Haven't seen any of the lower ones up close. Every few years I buy another LP clone, love it briefly, then get rid of it. Just got another one, but this time I think instead of dumping it in 4 or 5 months, I'll just stash it under the bed for a few years until the urge to wrestle with an LP hits me again. Lose less money and karma that way. Not that they cost enough to lose much, but selling guitars is always a trauma of sorts.

Mostly a pointer. I am still in the contemplating stages if the next build will be a Starcaster or a Regal. If it turns out to be a Regal it will probably never be a showcase item because:

1. The standard pickup switch location is a no go for me. I rather prefer a strat-style on the bottom end of the guitar instead.

2. All those burst are too much of a "hello old man" and I'm not there yet. Candy Red with binding or the like is more like me.

It will be sustainer-equipped and I'm also still contemplating hard tail vs a Floyd Rose.

And Warmoth still needs to get the builders up on the two body styles. So it will probably be a 2014 project anyway.

In the mean time I still have a Soloist pending. I'm indecisive on the neck for that. :icon_biggrin:

@SustainerPlayer

I was having fun fun fun  :toothy10:

..... untill I looked at the price

Back to the drawing board

Yup. And again, mandatory contoured heel and no option for a rear contour. I do like the look (especially since ESP Eclipses aren't available outside of Japan) but eh. The whole point of doing these builds is options and there is basic stuff missing here...

Not everybody has the ability/tools to do that cleanly, especially with a carved top. Not to mention the recess.
