I can't understand the logic that Gibson is displaying by doing these sort of re-jigs of existing models. To me, these models represent a view by those in charge that they wanna see how absurd they can make a guitar look, and find out how many suckers take the bait!
A lot of times these things look horribly awkward to play and downright butt-ugly.
The 'reverse' V is one of these models.
I can appreciate that if you've never seen a proper V before, when you do, it looks strange. Ditto for first impressions on guitars like the Explorer, Moderne and Firebird. But over time you acquire a taste for them and if you play a good V, Firebird or Explorer (never played a Moderne) you can appreciate some of the refinements made in body design. Although, that said, I never have fathomed why the V is so popular when you can't play it too well sitting down.
I cannot see how ever, you'd get used to the looks of the reverse V!
Waste of good wood, electronics, hardware and labour.
