Real Photos Of Finishes In Body Finishes (Instead Of Representations)

Looking to spend hundreds of dollars on a finish only to see a representation of what said finish
actually looks like in the Body Finishes section just doesn't work.

Even if they're not optimum (we know the numerous complaints), real pics say everything those representations don't...
especially when it comes to candys, metallics and flakes.

And yes, one can use the Showcase to see actual examples, but not every color is represented... in fact, there's
a lot that are missing.

+1. i think the new system is really cool, but i miss the old paint section that had actual bodies in front of other colors (arctic white in from of olympic white). i think a couple even had videos (maybe the sparkle finishes?).

This would be an awesome idea.
My Translucent purple looked like it would be alot darker in the website photo, however that being said it is near that dark in dark light, in sunlight its bright purple.
However this isnt a complaint, i love it and i wouldnt of wanted any of the other purples, but a true picture would have helped, maybe knowing it turns light purple like that in light too.
But Good work warmoth still  :hello2:

I remember W used to have little video of the Tangerine Finish. It was that video alone that made me decide for a Candy Tangerine. Seeing all the nice vibrant colours when flipped round in the sunlight. Maybe it is not necessary for all colours. But videos of the Candy, Metallic and Flakes would be good.

The body finishes section does use real finishes, they just have an overlay for gloss/satin, and a body shape cut out.

I can't believe I'm responding to this, but...

It works fine for those who prefer solid, clear and burst finishes, but like I said, metallics, flakes and candys are sorely lacking.
They look like solids or in some cases, dithered solids:

Huge differences - the metallic sheen is completely absent in the new ones.

I prefer the photos of the finishes to the computer generated ones. The colors don't match exactly and the glossy overlay for the forearm contour looks too defined.
