Quilt Maple Soloist

LOL on the plain black straps, I'm with you. as far as reversed headstocks.....yuk!  Don't like em, they are reversed just for the sake of being diferrent, which diferrent is ok, but for me not reverse headstocks.

But reverse is OK for me on other peoples guitars, just not mine.

Reverse headstock with no locking nut do feel & sound a bit differently though. The opposite string tension does change things around. But with a locking nut, it's just pure cosmetic & I'm guilty of this myself.

Very nice indeed  :icon_thumright:

Is that a unique choice 'Quilt Maple' Top & matching Headstock ?

If it is, thats gunna be one sweet looking Soloist !!  If not will still look awesome.

Whats the big difference between a Strat body & a Soloist ?   Just curious  :icon_scratch:

There aren't 'big' differences per sa - Soloist upper and lower horns are slightly more slender and sharp, and
the body edges are closer to a 90 degree corner than a strat body's more rounded profile throughout.

And here's another beautiful pointey headstock...

Now, this is a pointy headstock. I love the extended fretboard & if it wasn't for the ugly inlays & the even uglier headstock, I would look into one.

I don't know if I'd call that headstock or those inlays "ugly". They're just different. I wouldn't own one either, but only because it's an impractical and deficient design. I could forgive it since it's nowhere near as bad as some out there, but I'm not going to because wrong is still wrong, so no sale. Let the marketing weenies eat it.

That said, it is a wicked-looking thing <grin>

I actually like those "Clocks" fret markers. The "hour" hand tells you the fret position.  :icon_thumright:

If you call that "winning".... you and Charlie Sheen should discuss the meaning of that word.
