OK, so here it is.  Alder body with a quilted maple top, finished with black and blue.  The neck is flame maple.  Hardware was taken off of my Jackson SL2H, as I wanted to make its hardware gold (perhaps another post).  The tuners are Gotohs, 6100 SS Frets, DiMarzio pups (36th Anniversary PAF neck and Tone Zone bridge), OFR, and a 3 way switch.  The electronics are RS pots and cap, with a Planet Waves jack.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Note the Dangerous neck plate...the cornerstone of every build.  :icon_thumright:

I get the woman tone from the 36th, and the deadly tone from the Tone Zone.  It will go to the guy I take my guitars to for a final setup.  Final judgement is held until the setup is done.  :icon_biggrin:

Thatas one guitar I'd very much like to see in person.Congrats. Cannot go wrong with the 36th Annv.IMO

Very nice Doc, I think the flame neck was the perfect choice to compliment the body rather than just a plain quarter sawn.... :icon_thumright:

It's kind like a custom Big Aple Strat.... :icon_biggrin:

I was thinking the same thing.  That combo works well together.

Another beauty Doc!  :headbang:

I can't see what the pup mount color is and am I seeing bare wood between the pups and their mounts?  did you finish FR  recessed route?

Flying in a blue dream  :cool01:

(saying it again, I know, but that's the theme of the guitar  :laughing7:)

I like that!  Perfect reference.

Kreig, the recessed Floyd route is painted, and there is a little foam pad under the trem bolts.  What you're seeing around the pups are the base plates, not wood.

Thanks Dan and Doug.  Yeah, it had to be the right piece of flame, though, or it might not have worked.  Got lucky with this one.

if you can play flying in a blue dream, that would be the cherry on top! :icon_thumright:

I may have to sit down and try to learn that one.  The only Satch tunes I've ever been able to play in their entirety have been Up in the Sky, Moroccan Sunset, and of course, Always with Me, Always with You.
