Today, my Warmoth V body arrived from Tonar. I am at a loss for words. It is so black, and so smooth and shiny! Fantastic job, Greg, thank you so much.
If anyone reading this is maybe thinking about a Tonar finish, DO IT! The man is a complete professional. I would have no idea there was a pinhole that gave Greg some fits, if he hadn't confessed and shown the pics. I know I could never have produced a black lacquer finish this impressive.
I got the neck back from Cagey a few weeks ago. He dressed and polished my frets and polished the raw Padouk neck, as well as installing threaded inserts to allow me to use machine screws rather than the traditional wood screws for the neck-to-body joint.
If you're thinking about having Cagey do some neck work for you, DO IT! Again, a total professional job that I won't hesitate to repeat for my next Warmoth project.
I have almost all the parts I need to complete this project; pickups, bridge, pickguard, jack etc. I am going to try to shoot pics as I proceed with the build. I had to just post a quick rave about two of the many talented people on this board. Great jobs, guys and thanks a million!
