If she's good lookin.... "Are you single?"

I used to be a little more subtle....."Mind if I buy you a drink?"  Then discuss the relationship status over Jagerbombs and before you know it she'll be explaining it to her boyfriend why she didn't come home last night

If it wasn't for booze I'd wouldn't have got married

I went to a buddies house (he just turned 21 a couple of months ago) last night his contingency of friends had some 19-22 year old females there and wow I would give my left leg to be that age again.  Delicous looking girlies but I'm too damn old for them to even look at me  :icon_scratch:

The guy that sings in my band is dating an 18 year-old (just turned 18).  It doesn't hit you how young they are until you here the year they are born.  1990, for instance.  That was the year I started playing guitar, and was a teenager then!

Ever see that movie "Dazed and confused"  something about liking high school girls cause he gets older and they stay the same age.

Just turned 18?  Tell her that the freakin Simpsons are older than she is!!!  Funny how Bart is still 10 and Lisa is still 8.  That would make Bart almost 30  and Lisa 28 if they aged like the rest of us.  We should all move to Springfield.

I like chatting with the younger cats on this forum, keeps me in perspective in how far I've come in life, and how far I still have to go god willing.  I like to see that there are teenagers building instruments still.  I built my first guitar when I was 15 and there are some guys on here that are that age.  I could spend a week on here giving them advice about anything and everything.

Some of the best times I had in my life were between the ages of 17-23.  Although I can't remember a lot of it (and some of it I know from what people told me I did  :tard: ) I know I had a real good time.

So to all you young guys out there......... Keep playing and keep building them.  Listen to music.  Try to get in the sack with as many girls as you can, especially one of your friend's hot moms MILF you know.  And bag his sister if you can, believe me it might not make sense to you now, but later it will.  And a real friend will forgive you for screwing his sister after he breaks your nose, which is worth it if she is hot.

Allright guys all this talk of young kitty is making me thinks I should go check out some barely legal porn  :laughing7:

Well, Klanch, I must be crazy :p
I'm not really for drugs, just a choice I made when I started having depression problems. I decided my head wasn't clear after that, and I didn't think drugs would help.
I'm still on girl #1, which is either good or bad, depending on your goals :p Yeah, I started late. In 4 days, it'll be a month.
Eh... pr0n... Not that long ago I kicked an addiction to the stuff... I'm glad.

Each to his own, though :)

Well Max we are all crazy to a point.  Just ask anybody with a career in mental health, crazy is relative

How old are you Max?  15?  man you are wiser beyond your years.  Drug use is a very touchy subject.  I have tried just about everything 3 times (the 1st to see what the hype is all about, 2nd to see if it was as good as the 1st, and 3rd to see if I liked it enough to do it again)  Yeah man if you are depressed drugs don't help.  Been there done that, it is good to hear you know yourself well enough to know that you should steer clear of the drugs.  Kudos to you brother, I'm not one to advocate drug use, nor do I think that everybody should be sober all the time.  You and only you know what is right for yourself.....

Late?  Ever see the 40 year old virgin?  That is late!!!!  shitee man all I am saying about this is ladies do love guitar players, you might find yourself in a sticky situation someday.  My goal in women was to find a woman that would go out with me and pick up other chicks.  Well I failed at that goal, but I wouldn't trade my wife for anyone in the world, even if she won't go down on her hot friends

Pornography is highly over-rated...... But it is sometimes entertaining.  Once you're married for a while, you will relapse.  I promise.

The beauty of being human.

Buddy no worries glad to share some of my insight with you and I appreciate the perspective of a younger fella.  Like I said keep building guitars, don't ever stop, always have a project going.  It'll keep you sane through some of the hardest days that will come.  You have no idea how many countless hours I have spent on different projects.  If it wasn't for woodworking in general, I probably wouldn't be sitting here typing now.  I have been through 3 lifetimes of bullshitttee and there were times in my life when I thought of ending it all, but the thought of leaving all my projects unfinished kept me above ground.  It is my sanity, when the going gets rough around here, I go to the shop and get out the sander, which BTW my wife got me a new one for christmas (she is a damn good woman, even if she isn't into other girls!!)  You are on the right page I think.  Ok I'm getting all philosophical here, I think you will smell what i'm stepping in here.........

How is the Telecaster coming along?

Yeah, keeping myself busy is keeping myself not depressed. I think a lot, so I do my best to make good decisions.
The Tele is coming slowly, but it'll be put mostly together very soon. About a week. How do I get that jack cup to stay on, btw?

You have to install the mounting clip inside.  Theres a tool for it, but it can be a pain otherwise.

Get one of the Electrosocket ones.  They use the existing mounting hole but use two screws.

Man it's been quite a while since there was a Telecaster on my workbench.  In fact, Max, it was on my bench because of a faulty jack cup.  I changed it over to an electrosocket type jack cup with the screws.  I personally don't like that clip setup that I think you are referring to.  Get yourself an electrosocket, you'll be better off in the long run.

If that isn't an option,  and you want to use the vintage style cup, try a little epoxy around the cup where it is inside the body.  Insurance, buddy.  Every guitar I have ever owned at one point or another has needed the jack messed with, even my Am Std Strat, every once and a while I would have to tighten the nut that holds it on.  I have even resorted to loctite on the threads and they still manage to come loose.  I like those electrosockets  for any guitar with a side jack.  I'm sure you'll get an answer here right quick.
