Question on pickup routing

I don't think you could go wrong either way. They both look great, and would probably sound similar. The only reason I stay away from Wenge is it's a very open-grain wood, so I gotta think the pores would gradually fill up with hand kukka, like the underneath of your fingernails. Dirt, sweat, oil, etc. How can you clean that up? I'm not a germophobe, but I have my limits as to how grungy I'll let things get. Alternatively, Pau Ferro is a very dense, tight-grained wood. So much so, that it feels like it has a silky-satin finish on it even though it doesn't.

OR?

What about a wenge neck with ebony?  After a lot of searching on this forum, everybody seems to love wenge.

With this neck my guitar would look like one of my favorite drinks... A black and tan.

So I think it comes down to either Goncalo Alves/Pau Ferro or the above Wenge/Ebony

I think of the showcase necks, that's a winner so far.
