Question for Vintage Mod Owners

Hello again,

I've always been partial to heel adjust but I'm digging the specs on these.  As far as adjustment goes:  Is the nut recessed far into the headstock or is it right there so it's easy to adjust with a simple hardware store allen wrench?  I always hated the Am Stand fenders cause they were recessed too far.  I'd prefer a T wrench but probably wouldn't work on that angle unless I got a long one.  Also I'd need a 4MM correct?  Those showcase deals are getting to me.
