Queen should reunite with THIS GUY!!!

Funny that, just the other day I saw this interview of Freddie Mercury's Personal Assistant.

Check out this guy taking Freddie's spot in an up-coming show. Now he looks perfect !!  :icon_thumright:

Wow. I've been a huge Queen fan ever since I was 10 years old or so (now 36). Never really bothered with any attempts to revive their music after Freddie passed away but this guy does put a smile on my face.

They've tried it too often with a ' just' rock singer but I think only a properly trained voice (like a professional musical singer) can pull it off. Freddie sang rock songs but was much more than a rock singer. If you know the whole Queen catalogue you know it was more than just a rock band.

Their very 1st time in Australia (Sunbury 1974 a 3 day concert) like the woodstock days ..... They were Booed off stage.

Then by about 1976 I think it was, they toured again in Australia & were HUGE !!

I've always liked their music  :icon_thumright: still do at 51.

This guy is the tits when it comes to a freddie mercury.

This guy has good vocals, but damn if he doesn't have Freddie's moves and mannerisms down to perfection.

Both of those guys are awesome!  Either of those guys would be much better than Paul Rodgers.  I like Paul as a singer, just not even close for Queen.

this guy is much better than that first dude. the first guy has a great voice, agreed, but its too sweet and 'soft'. freddie had a much rougher voice. not unpolished, but rough. compare it with a supertight, even flamed maple cap vs burl maple :P both awesome in their own way

Orpheo i rspectfully disagree, the first guy was what queen needs, hell he even looks like freddie, he was pitch perfect and has a youthfull presence much like arnel pineda with journey.

I saw queen with paul rogers a few years ago, and it was a great show, Paul didn't try to REPLACE Freddie, he sang all the queen songs in his own style and was very good, but queen should find a new singer and continue on, and one that sings like freddie in my opinion is the way to go

I agree, the first guy has a closer sound to Freddies, but the other guy's got the moves, but with the fake mustache and wig, he's kinda creepy... :(

The first guy is in his room performing, then he is in front of a small relaxed crowd.  The second guy is in front of tons of people who are going nuts.  Of course the second guy is going to be more intense.  I like the first guy better.  As long as he can kick it up a notch in front of a huge crowd, he'll be spot on.

I don't really like the pretending to do the mannerisms and stuff, it's actually kind of tacky in my opinion, like you're in a cheesy cover band.  We're talking about one of these guys gigging with the actual band composed of people who knew the guy.  It would be kind of weird for them (I would think) to have someone running around pretending to be their dead friend.

If they can find someone who can do the voice spot on, that's all they need in my opinion.  I would go see that.  Especially because I've never seen Brian May perform, and I really want to.

I agree with Hannaugh. The first guy is the type of quality singer Queen should get to continue their careers with. The second guy belongs in a tribute band.

As cool as it would be, I would imagine the remaining members don't care to revive Queen, and are probably to old to care anymore... :dontknow:

That could well be. Brian May's got a doctorate in astrophysics, which is no mean feat. I think he's a professor as some college as a result. Tough to go romping around practicing your chops and going on tours with that sort of thing going on as well. Besides, he's 64 years old. Not that that's necessarily old these days, but one does grow tired. Standing around for 3 or 4 hours with a guitar slung around your neck isn't most retiree's idea of relaxing. John Deacon and Roger Taylor are also in their '60s, with lives of their own. I don't think any of them are hurting for money or recognition.

All talent a side I think it would be super creepy to have a "freddie-replica" in the original Queen band. Bad baste. And just for that reason it'll never happen.

EDIT: Just read the whole thread. Great minds think alike.  :icon_jokercolor:

He's actually just got off tour with jamie Humphries doing a bunch of shoes with some random pop star.
